Description

1952 Topps Eddie Mathews #407 SGC VG/EX 4. The 1952 set has so many popular cards for various reasons. Eddie Mathews as the closing entry of the famous high-numbers is one of them. Obviously this card spent no time in the Atlantic. It is a great looking with strong colors, gloss and nice centering. What is this card doing under a VG-EX label? Under close inspection the top right and lower left corners are surface impressions more than likely the result of corner mounts. What is forgotten about is that he hadn't worn that cap for long as this is Mathews' rookie card debut. Very attractive card for the grade that is associated with wrinkles/light crease and blunt corners, none of which this card has. Graded SGC VG/EX 4. The case has a light crack in the lower left.
