1952 Topps Ed Mathews #407 SGC 70 EX+ 5.5. At first, one wonders what is so different about this card. Then it hits you, it's so nicely centered. That a scarce attribute for this card. Several factors combine to rank this card at the top of collectors' want lists. The obvious being this is the Hall of Fame slugger's rookie offering. The issue itself - 1952 Topps - has become a benchmark production that has remained one of the most highly pursued and regarded card promotions and because it is the condition critical final card or the set. Graded SGC 70 EX+ 5.5, this card offers tremendous colors and gloss, quality corners and is very nicely centered. Only sixteen examples have topped this one on the SGC pop charts, setting supply well below demand for quality specimens.
