Minnie Miñoso, born Orestes Miñoso, was a trailblazer in Major League Baseball, remembered as the first Black Cuban player in the majors and a beloved figure with the Chicago White Sox. Known as the "Cuban Comet," he combined speed, hitting ability, and infectious enthusiasm, while paving the way for future generations of Latino players.
