Description

1950 Bowman Ted Williams #98 PSA EX 5. This 1950 Bowman card shows the man known as Teddy Ballgame, Ted Williams, taking a cut in what appears to be the on-deck circle at Fenway Park. Williams, who was a career .344 hitter, is still the last major leaguer to ever crack the .400 plateau, a feat he reached by batting .406 in 1941. In 1950, which was basically the midway point of his MLB career, Williams batted .317 with 28 home runs and 97 runs batted in. Card #98 from the '50 Bowman is beautifully illustrated and a favorite among serious Red Sox collectors. Its reverse even calls out another of Williams' many nicknames: "Thumper." Graded PSA EX 5.
