Signed 1949 Bowman Larry Doby #233 PSA VG+ 3.5, PSA/DNA Auto Authentic. In 1947, the very same season that Jackie Robinson was blazing trails over in the National League, Larry Doby was breaking the color line for the American League. Bill Veeck, president of the Cleveland Indians, decided that Doby, a talented hitter and outfielder for the Newark Eagles of the NNL, was the right man to integrate the Junior Circuit.
