Description

Signed 1941 Play Ball Joe DiMaggio #71 PSA Authentic, PSA/DNA Auto 8. Joe DiMaggio was the Hall of Fame center fielder for the New York Yankees from 1936 to 1951 who missed three full seasons while serving in the U.S. Army Air Forces from 1943 to '45. His 56-game hitting streak, which he set in 1941, remains a Major League record to this day. A 13-time All-Star selection, "Joltin' Joe" led the Bronx Bombers to an incredible nine World Series titles during his tenure in pinstripes. A two-time AL MVP (1939 and '41), his election to the Baseball Hall of Fame took place in 1955.

Offered is a 1941 Play Ball card featuring the Yankee Clipper. Card #71 from the '41 Play Ball set shows the prolific hitter swinging through with his bat. This Authentic example shows an angled cut/trim to the card's top right corner but is bolstered nicely by a beautifully scripted signature from DiMaggio across the front. He signed the card nicely in blue ballpoint ink, which elevates this card to another level of collectability. Encapsulated PSA Authentic with a certified autograph graded PSA/DNA Auto 8.
