    Description

1949 Bowman Pee Wee Reese #36 PSA NM-MT 8. Pee Wee Reese holds a special place in the hearts of the Brooklyn faithful for not only being a baseball standout but an American war hero who served for three years during WW II. He is the only Brooklyn Dodger to participate in all seven Subway Series versus the hated New York Yankees. The Hall of Fame shortstop would see his first confrontation during his rookie year in 1941. Reese survived his World War II service to close out Ebbets Field with the other "Boys of Summer." Graded PSA NM-MT 8, with only twelve examples graded higher.
