    Description

1949 Bowman Pee Wee Reese #36 PSA Mint 9 - Only One Higher. In every heart of the Brooklyn faithful is a place for Pee Wee Reese for his baseball skills and for his status as an American war hero who served for three years during WW II. He is the only Brooklyn Dodger to participate in all seven Subway Series versus the hated New York Yankees. The Hall of Fame shortstop would see his first confrontation during his rookie year in 1941. Reese survived his World War II service to close out Ebbets Field with the other "Boys of Summer." This is an incredible example. Colors are deep and rich. Centering is a thick hairline away from perfection. All four corners are mint. The border is a glowing white. Graded PSA Mint 9. One of only eight graded MINT with just one higher.

Guide Value or Estimate: $2,000 - up.
