Description

1949 Bowman Jackie Robinson #50 PSA Good 2. As the Major League Baseball pioneer who broke the league's longstanding color barrier in 1947, Jackie Robinson will forever be hailed as a trailblazer when it comes to civil rights. As a 10-year member of the Brooklyn Dodgers, he accomplished more than most. Besides opening the door for future players of color to compete, Robinson was a great hitter (.313 lifetime BA) who won Rookie of the Year honors in 1947 to go along with a National League batting title in 1949. His rightful induction into Cooperstown took place in 1962. This example of card #50 from the '49 Bowman series is found in Good condition with rich color. Graded PSA Good 2.
