Description

1949 Bowman Duke Snider #226 PSA NM-MT 8. Offered is the rookie card of "The Duke of Flatbush" Snider. A key component on the field of the beloved Brooklyn Dodgers teams of the 1950's, Snider is one of the franchise's most popular figures of all-time. A member of the famed "Boys of Summer," Snider was instrumental in the 1955 club's long-awaited World Series victory, and he narrowly missed capturing that year's National League MVP honors. Snider's debut piece emerged in the '49 Bowman issue's scarcer series of high numbers that face the additional obstacle of time on the soft and unforgiving cardstock. Graded PSA NM-MT 8. Just one highlight is the card's apparently never-touched and factory-fresh "rough cuts" at the sides, peerless resolution in its image, and a generally fault-free aesthetic.
