    Description

1949 Bowman Bob Feller, Tan Back #27 SGC 96 Mint 9 - Pop Two, None Higher. Robert William Andrew Feller came off a farm in Iowa to pitch for the Cleveland Indians at the tender age of 17 in 1936. Amazingly, in August of that first season, Feller struck out fifteen batters in facing the St. Louis Browns. He pitched 18 seasons for the Tribe, despite missing nearly four years to military service. After the attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941, Bob Feller was the first major leaguer to enlist. Offered is a close to un-improvable '49 Bowman card which features perfect centering, brilliant coloring and clean surfaces.
