Description

1948 Leaf Larry Doby #138 PSA NM-MT 8 - None Higher! Jackie Robinson set the stage when he brought down the Major League and the National League racial barrier. Another barrier was down when Hall of Famer Larry Doby became the first African-American to play in the American League when he signed with the Cleveland Indians. Thanks to the limited distribution of his card from the 1948 Leaf series, he is on innumerable want lists. The supply of high-grade examples of the difficult Leaf short prints will never be adequate enough to address collector demand for any player, and certainly for a Hall of Famer. Graded PSA NM-MT 8. With more than 150 PSA submissions, this is one of only six graded NM-MT with none higher!
