1948 Leaf Kent Peterson, Red Cap Variation #42 - In Magenta Ink. The 1948-49 Leaf series is famous for the short print subjects and it's brief list of noted variations. Truth is, if one were to consider the ink color variations the possibilities for variation within this series seem endless. Offered is a "Red Cap" version of card #42 Kent Peterson, missing the black ink that covers most of the cap and helps define the logo. What is special about this card is the fact that the "red" which is usually a deep, warm red hue on this card has been printed using the distinctive and unmistakable pinkish hue ink called Magenta. A double variation? Depends on your definition of a variation but a fun card to add to any Leaf specialty collection. Excellent condition.
