    1948 Bowman Ferris Fain #21 SGC 98 Gem 10 - The Ultimate SGC Example! The son of the jockey Oscar Fain who finished second in the 1912 Kentucky Derby, Fain was a hot-tempered All-Star who twice claimed the American League batting title (1951, 1952). He served the Athletics cause for the first six seasons of his career, which began in 1947. Graded SGC 98 Gem 10. This is a "Pop One of One With None Higher" title holder and one of only eight "Gems" noted by SGC for the entire series.
