    Description

1948 Bowman Bob Feller #5 PSA Mint 9 - Two Higher. It was 1936 when Bob Feller came fresh off an Iowa farm to pitch for the Cleveland Indians at the tender age of 17. Amazingly, in August of that first season, Feller struck out fifteen St. Louis Browns in one game. Overall, Feller pitched 18 seasons for the Tribe, despite missing nearly four years to military service. After the attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941, "Rapid Robert" lived up to his nickname as the first major leaguer to enlist. "Mint" and "HoFer" are two terms we just don't get tired of being able to use in the same sentence. Graded PSA Mint 9. One of sixteen in MINT with two rated higher.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
