    Description

1941 Play Ball "Paper Version" Uncut Sheet of Twelve Cards (#'s 1-12). The 1941 Play Ball paper set of 24 cards was issued in two sheets of twelve cards. Identical in all respects to the standard cards, these are printed on a thin, white paper. Originally sold for one penny per sheet, they were obviously intended to be hand-cut into individual cards and served as a patriotic alternative to using card stock that was now needed for the war effort that was all too inevitable in the summer/fall of 1941. This set is among the very last Gum Inc. sets issued until after the war. Rare in this uncut form, as most met their destiny with a pair of scissors. Measuring approx. 10x9-3/8," the surfaces are bold and bright, very brief creases affect the far upper left and right corners. Hall of Famer & stars include: Carl Hubbell, Mel Ott and Arky Vaughan. Strict technical grade would be very-good but presents near-mint. Matted and framed, this will look amazing on the wall of your man cave.

Just wanted to let you know how pleased I am regarding the sale of my hockey jersey. You were great to work with, you answered all my phone calls and e-mails in a prompt manner, and you did a great job marketing the jersey.
