1941 Play Ball Joe DiMaggio #71 PSA NM 7. The events of December 7th would change everything this fateful year, but during the summer of 1941 - at least in New York City - the conversation centered around this man "Joltin" Joe DiMaggio. "Did DiMaggio get a hit?" would become the lost asked question and the answer that came back, week after week, was "Yes." DiMaggio was blessed with one of most graceful swings in the game, that depicted against a simple purple, green and yellow backdrop so not to take away from the legendary Yankees outfielder. Graded PSA NM 7, the card only hints at its age. The consistent off-white toning nicely compliments the rich colors and clean surfaces. A solid near-mint example if there ever was one.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
