Signed 1935 Pebble Beach Joe DiMaggio PSA VG-EX+ 4.5, PSA/DNA Auto 9. The future New York Yankees legend was just a 20-year old kid when he signed this rare Pebble Beach Clothiers post card from 1935. With the Yankees pushing hard to get the young Clipper to join their ranks, the Seals owner convinced Ed Barrow to wait a year. Too bad for the Yanks -- DiMaggio was absolutely electric in '35, earning Most Valuable Player honors with his .398 average in 172 games. He had 270 hits, 456 total bases, 34 homers, 48 doubles, 18 triples, 173 RBI, and stole 24 bases in 25 attempts. DiMaggio would make his Yankees pinstripes in 1936 and the rest is baseball history.

This rarely seen real photo post card promotion offered at least ten different PCL players from the San Francisco Seals, Oakland Oaks, and Mission Reds plus other local media celebrities. This auction features ten different subjects which is the largest offering to date as previously only seven subjects were confirmed. A letter found promoting these cards proposes an exchange program via Ernie Smith Broadcasting where fans would receive the signed photographs for the asking as well as a band from a Pebble Beach necktie.

The card is graded PSA VG-EX+ 4.5, his incredibly clean and sharp vintage autograph has been graded PSA/DNA Mint 9! Of the tem confirmed names known, Joe DiMaggio is by far the most significant name coming out at a time just before the dawning of one of the more legendary careers in the history of our national pastime.
