1938 Goudey Rudy York #260 SGC 96 Mint 9 - The Finest SGC Example! Rudy York may have excelled as a batter over his fielding skills to become a HoFer but this card is a "HoFer" for every reason possible. York batted .275 with 277 home runs and 1,152 RBI. He appeared in three World Series seven All-Star Games. His slugging percentage ranks him fourth behind Greenberg, Heilmann and Cobb in Detroit Tigers history. Graded SGC 96 Mint 9, this card is the only SGC example to grade so surprisingly high with none others rating higher. There is no reason to doubt the unquestionable quality of a card that deserves its "Highest Graded Example" status. Centering is a hairline away from perfection. Corners show the very slightest hints of wear at the outer tops, surfaces are free of any wrinkles, creases, scratches, abrasions or signs of handling.
