    Description

1938 Goudey Bob Feller #288 PSA NM 7. 1938 was a pivotal season for the young fire-baller from Van Meter, Iowa. After two seasons of promise, Feller went 17-11 and struck-out 240 batters in what would be the first of many successful years. Had is baseball career gone uninterrupted, he would certainly be a 300-game winner and maybe even baseball's third 350+ game winner. Issued in two formats, card #288 comes from the second version with biographical cartoons surrounding the part realistic/part cartoon figure of the 20-year old pitcher. A nice example of the Hall of Fame pitcher graded PSA NM 7.
