Description
1935 Wheaties - Series 1 Lou Gehrig Panel. These extremely popular cut-out cards were released on the back side of Wheaties boxes in the 1930's. With no Babe Ruth card to be found, no fans were disappointed as Yankees legends Joe DiMaggio and Lou Gehrig made appearances. Without a doubt the key to the 1935 issue is Lou Gehrig. This hand cut card has retained most of the outermost portion of the frame with an evident tear running on the right border. Displays in VG/EX condition but the tear has been repaired.Auction Info
