    Description

1934 R & J Hill Tris Speaker #48 PSA NM-MT 8 - None Higher. Among the great hitters of the early 20th century, Tris Speaker must be mentioned in the same conversation alongside Cobb, Jackson, Wagner and Lajoie. During a remarkable 22-year career, Speaker finished with over 3,500 hits and a lifetime batting average of .345. And he was a pretty spectacular outfielder as well. Issued for the London market, this scarce card from the R & J Hill "Sports" series is titled "Baseball" but the card clearly features the baseball great. The real-photo paper used for these sets are prone to surface creases or bending. High-grade examples are a challenge to acquire. Graded PSA NM-MT 8, one of four for the grade with none rating higher.
