    Description

1934 Goudey Hank Greenberg #62 PSA NM-MT 8. With less than a half-dozen copies in the world graded higher, this example ranks close to the top of the plateau. Greenberg broke into the majors in 1930, at just the age of 19 and had a remarkable career that mixed baseball 1930 through 1940 and then the military from 1940 through 1945. He returned to baseball in 1945 and in his first game, picked up right where he left off, with a Home Run. Hank retired in 1947, after playing his last season for the Pirates. He was the first true Jewish superstar to grace the diamond. This is an incredible card from almost every aspect of the card's features including the rich color and clean obverse. The card's borders are suitably bright and its corners are properly formed. This is the must have card for a Tiger Fan or just a Greenberg enthusiast. A strong NM-MT example.
