    Description

1933 W574 Baseball (Hand Cut) Lefty Grove SGC 40 VG 3. Offered is one of the key subjects from the scarce W574 Baseball card series from 1933. It is no secret why Lefty Grove was a key ingredient in Connie Mack's second great Athletics dynasty and an all-time legend. The Hall of Fame southpaw repeated his Pitching Triple Crown performance in 1931 with American League-topping tallies in victories (a career-best 31), earned run average (a career-low 2.06) and strike outs (175), while his Philadelphia Athletics claimed its third-straight American League pennant. A pitcher that had both power and skills, Grove complied exactly 300 victories, nine ERA titles. This scarce W574 has been graded SGC 40 VG 3.
