    Description

1933 Sport Kings Duke Kahanamoku #20 PSA Mint 9 - Pop Four, None Higher. Called "The Father of Surfing," this native Hawaiian first entered the public consciousness as the greatest swimmer the world had ever seen. In August 1911, at an amateur swim meet, Kahanamoku was timed at 55.4 seconds in the 100 yard freestyle, smashing the existing world record by over four and a half seconds. A year later he would claim the Gold Medal at the Stockholm Summer Olympics in the same event. This "Sport Kings" card of Kahanamoku dates to 1933 and is one of less than a handful of trading cards on which he is featured. It is immediately obvious why this is one of the finest Kahanamoku cards in all the hobby. Graded PSA Mint 9. Pop four when graded MINT with none higher.
