    Description

1933 Sport Kings Babe Ruth #2 SGC 84 NM 7. The title of this Goudey issue sums it up nicely as Ruth is certainly considered to be the king of baseball. The "Sultan of Swat" was at the height of his popularity when the issue was released in 1933 and this beauty doesn't seem to have aged very much since. The great Bambino stands head and shoulders over his contemporary Titans of sport, like Ty Cobb, Red Grange, Jim Thorpe, Eddie Shore, etc. This beautiful example was blessed with being well-centered, rich colors and precise registration. The top and bottom borders appear even; the front displays a soft toning affording a nostalgic appeal; Slight wear at only two corner tips; Print ghosting on the reverse associated with this issue is at a minimum. Currently, there are seven recorded at the SGC 84 NM 7 level with none grading higher.
