    Description

1933 Goudey Rick Ferrell #197 SGC 10 Poor 1 - With Ghost Misprint. HoFer Rick Ferrell was one of the finest catchers of his era. When he retired his 1,800+ games at catcher was an American League record that stood for more than four decades. The first All-Star Game in 1933 featured not just younger brother Wes but older brother Rick Ferrell as well. Offered is a one of the more interesting copies of card #197 from the 1933 Goudey series that features the eldest Ferrell sibling. The card had all the right colors in place until the dark blue ink pass. This sheet shifted a full ¾" to the right leaving a ghosted image of Ferrell and a partial view of card #196 Leroy Mahaffey. Graded SGC 10 Poor 1.
