    Description

1933 Goudey Paul Waner #25 PSA NM-MT 8 - None Higher! Paul was the "Big Poison" of the two poisonous Waner brothers. His skills suggest he should be a larger house-hold name than is currently afforded. Waner was a consistent producer where 200 hits and 100 runs almost expected. Fifteen of his 20 seasons were with the Pittsburgh Pirates. The 1927 NL MVP winner racked up 237 hits, 131 RBIs and a .380 batting average, leading the Pirates to the 1927 World Series where they would meet the unstoppable force of New York's Murderer's Row. Almost 20 years after that career year, Waner recorded his 3,152nd and final career hit playing for the New York Yankees, the only base hit he posted wearing pinstripes. Well preserves with precise centering and a few minty corners. Graded PSA NM-MT 8. One of thirteen in NM-MT with none rated higher!
