Description

1933 Goudey Herb Pennock #138 PSA NM-MT 8 - None Higher. Herb Pennock was a Pennsylvania Quaker who over the course of his 22-year career won World Series titles with three baseball dynasties - Athletics (1913), Red Sox (1915), and Yankees (1923-27-28-32). The eleventh and final Bosox regular to make the trek from Beantown to Gotham. Pennock was the picture of grace, calm and fluidity. Grantland Rice wrote that "he threw with the ease and coolness of a practice session." He passed away at age fifty-three in 1948, the same year he was inducted into the baseball Hall of Fame. Beautiful graphics. Nicely centered, clean and problem-free. Graded PSA NM-MT 8. One of fifteen in NM-MT with none rated higher!
