Description

1933 Goudey Hack Wilson Rookie #211 PSA NM-MT 8. Hall of Fame center fielder Hack Wilson was short in stature but played large on the baseball diamond. Weighing a stout 190 pounds, he patrolled his position nicely with a .965 fielding percentage. But it was at the plate where he really made his presence felt. The 1930 NL MVP compiled a .307 lifetime batting average with 244 home runs and 1,063 runs batted in. His 12 major league seasons between four different teams was impressive enough to earn him a plaque in Cooperstown in 1979.

Offered is Wilson's sought-after 1933 Goudey rookie card. Card #211 shows the burly hitter unleashing another big swing at the plate. This example is in near mint-mint condition with vibrant colors, bright white borders, four strong corners and very little surface wear. Where it gets penalized is in the centering department as it pulls noticeably to the right. Despite its flaw, this is a great example of one of Wilson's most popular cards. Graded PSA NM-MT 8. One of only 31 cards graded NM-MT-MT with six rated higher.
