Description

1933 Goudey Hack Wilson #211 PSA NM-MT 8. Despite his diminutive size, Lewis "Hack" Wilson, was able to hit the ball a country mile. He started out learning the ropes for two seasons under John McGraw with the New York Giants. A top star for the Cubs, he became an offensive powerhouse until his career went into a premature decline following a legendary 1930 season in which he drove in a record 191 runs. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1979. Offered is a beautiful example of Hack's 1933 Goudey card. The slugger's image is centered nicely within four bright borders. Graded a lofty PSA NM-MT 8 and deservedly so, a top notch example for the grade. From a total population of 696, only six higher.
