Description

1933 Goudey Frank Frisch #49 SGC 96 Mint 9 - Pop One, None Higher! Considering his many accomplishments on the field, it is surprising Frank Frisch is not afforded more respect. Undoubtedly one of the greatest switch-hitters of all-time he contributed a great amount to the success enjoyed by "The Gashouse Gang" in St. Louis in the 1930's. The Cards would win four pennants eight seasons with Frisch in the batting order. The lifetime .316 BA is the highest ever for a switch hitter. What will not go without respect is this phenomenal example of his 1933 Goudey card #49. With the exception of one small stray print mark above his name this card appears to be just as it was when pulled from a pack over eight decades ago. Graded SGC 96 Mint 9, this card is the highest grade example in an SGC holder with little to no chance of finding a better copy in the future.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
