Description

1933 Goudey Chuck Klein #128 PSA NM-MT 8. Chicago Cubs fans must have thought they were seeing a mini-miracle when a future Hall of Famer named Chuck Klein suited up in a jersey that read "Chicago" in 1934. His Chicago run lasted only three seasons before he went back to Philadelphia in 1936. Although not a household name, he is an honored member in Cooperstown. His first six seasons ere his most productive. Klein racks up over 1,200 of his 2,076 career hits and 191 of his 300 career home runs. He retired with a .320 lifetime batting average. 1933 was a banner year for him. He was the Phillies' greatest home run threat (he had ranks up 40+ dingers in 1929 and 1930) and with Babe Ruth seeming more human than titan, Klein earned the coveted Triple Crown in 1933 on 28 home runs, 120 RBIs and a .368 batting average. Graded PSA NM-MT 8.
