1933 Goudey Carl Hubbell #230 SGC 84 NM 7. "King Carl" was a deserving inclusion in the Goudey issue which was the first comprehensive issue in almost a decade. He would win the 1933 NL MVP award and lead his New York Giants to World Series glory, going 2-0 and allowing no earned runs in 20 innings work. With only six of the 75 submitted to SGC rating higher, this well centered, very sharp Carl Hubbell should be in high demand. The vibrant colors, bright borders and very close to precise centering makes this a likely candidate for being the finest of the only four examples at the NM 7 level.Auction Info
