Description

1933 Goudey Babe Ruth #53 PSA Good+ 2.5. The colorful, heroic and closely watched career of New York Yankees icon Babe Ruth is unmatched in the annals of Major League Baseball. As the most prolific home run basher in team history with 714 round-trippers to his credit, Ruth was the game's biggest draw throughout his Hall of Fame career (1914 to 1935), and especially once he joined the Bronx Bombers in 1920. A career .342 hitter with 2,214 runs batted in to his name, Ruth was the original straw that stirred the drink in New York.

Offered is one of Ruth's coveted Goudey cards that was released during the twilight of his career. Card #53 from the beloved '33 Goudey series, one of four different Ruth cards found in the set, shows the Bambino wearing his pinstripes taking yet another big swing set against a bright yellow background. There are a couple very faint wrinkles and wholly acceptable corner wear. This is a classic card that was released just two years shy of Ruth's final major league season. Graded PSA Good+ 2.5.
