    Description

    Only two finer!

    1933 Goudey Babe Ruth #149 PSA NM-MT 8.
Magnificent representation of this key card from one of the hobby's most beloved issues transports us back to the days of the Depression without the unpleasantness of failed banks and bread lines. This is the second least populous of the four Ruth variations within this first great bubble gum set. Essentially untouched by the passing of eight and a half decades, this gorgeous relic provides marvelous spotless surfaces to go along with barely a suggestion of wear to outer corner tips.

To give the clearest indication of the superiority of this specimen, we must note that this PSA NM-MT 8 example is bested only by a pair of others, just a half-point superior. It's a remarkable representation of a card which debuted just months after the Babe launched his famous "Called Shot" in the 1932 World Series sweep of the Chicago Cubs, the legendary slugger's final taste of World Championship glory.
