1933 Goudey Babe Ruth #149 GAI NM+ 7.5. One of the few distractions to the harsh reality of the Depression era was the game of baseball and the continued popularity of its most beloved man-child in Babe Ruth. This card not only depicts the man who made more children smile and made more money than the President but ranks near the pinnacle of the hobby as its highest graded examples. Offered is the 1933 Goudey "red" Ruth or card #149 now graded GAI NM+ 7.5. His waist high portrait is a classic batting pose which is close to being perfectly centered in the 2-3/8x2-7/8" canvas. Corners show modest amounts of wear at the tips. Surfaces are clean, the reverse displays a pleasing ghosting so common with this issue.
