Description

1933 Goudey Babe Ruth #144 SGC EX 5. Babe Ruth, the popular "Bambino," was always one of Major League Baseball's greatest showmen. An incredible longball hitter with 714 home runs and 2,214 runs batted in, Ruth was often the one who supplied the offense when the New York Yankees needed more runs. After he finally retired following the 1935 season, he had seven World Series rings to his name (three with the Boston Red Sox, four with the Yankees), and was part of the Baseball Hall of Fame's inaugural class of 1936.

Presented is a 1933 Goudey card that captures a full-body image of Ruth showing off his patented home run swing. One of four different cards that feature Ruth in the set, card #144 is a favorite amongst collectors and a must-have addition for anybody trying to complete their personal Ruth collection. This example of card #144 from the '33 Goudey set is found in mid-grade condition with rich colors, decent centering, four pretty clean corners, and a reverse that looks like it could have been printed yesterday. Graded SGC EX 5.
