    Description

1933 Goudey Babe Ruth #144 SGC Authentic. It's the most recognizable Ruth card ever printed, a splendid batting portrait deriving from the most popular issue of the Depression era. The Babe entered the 1933 season fresh on the heels of his final World Championship season, one best remembered for his apocryphal "Called Shot" posted in a four-game Series sweep of the Chicago Cubs. Encapsulated SGC Authentic, the card shows obvious wear and creasing and the familiar "Big League Chewing Gum" ad has been removed. Condition aside, this is an iconic card in the hobby and is ideal for the Ruth fan who sees this as a glass half full.
