    Description

1933 Goudey Babe Ruth #144 PSA Poor 1 (MK). Goudey couldn't have chosen a better player to offer four different cards for their inaugural baseball card series in 1933. Not only was Ruth an established social icon, Ruth would start in right field for the American League team in the first All-Star game played at Chicago's Comiskey Park. Graded PSA Poor 1 (MK), the corners have gave way to smooth rounding which encompass a pair of creases that only mildly affect the visual appeal. The qualifier is clearly explained but the ink numeric notations and ink spots on the reverse. There are no areas of erasure or surface loss. One of the hobby's centerpiece collectibles and not a bad card considering the grade.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
