Description

1932 U.S. Caramel Paul Waner #2 PSA NM-MT 8. Paul Waner recorded his 3,152nd and final career hit for the New York Yankees, it is the only base hit he posted during his time wearing pinstripes. "Big Poison" Waner is best remembered for his fifteen seasons of service to the Pittsburgh Pirates. The 1927 NL MVP winner racked up 237 hits, 131 RBIs and a .380 batting average, leading the Pirates to the 1927 World Series where they would meet the irresistible force of New York's Murderer's Row. For over a decade, Waner ranked high on league leader boards. Amazingly, he accomplished all of this despite being nearsighted. He and his brother Lloyd are the only siblings enshrined in Cooperstown. The Waner duo are responsible for over 5,600 hits between them. Very strong card with precise centering and four "minty" to mint corners. Graded PSA NM-MT 8. One of eight examples graded NM-MT with two graded higher.
