Description

1932 U.S. Caramel Chuck Klein #21 PSA NM-MT 8 - None Higher. Chicago Cubs fans must have thought they were seeing a miracle not since the days of Tinkers, Evers and Chance when in fact future Hall of Famer Chuck Klein suited up in a jersey that read "Chicago" in 1934. His Chicago run lasted only three seasons before he went back to Philadelphia in 1936. He is an honored member in Cooperstown thanks in part to his first six seasons which were his most productive with over 1,200 of his 2,076 career hits and 191 of his 300 career home runs. He retired with a .320 lifetime batting average. He was the Phillies' greatest home run threat (he had ranks up 40+ dingers in 1929 and 1930) and with Babe Ruth seeming more human than titan, Klein earned the coveted Triple Crown in 1933 on 28 home runs, 120 RBIs and a .368 batting average. A surprisingly nice example with perfect centering and a bright white frame surrounding a blemish-free portrait. Graded PSA NM-MT 8. One of eight in NM-MT with none graded higher.
