    Description

Vintage Album With Over 150 Different R312, R313 and R314 Baseball Premiums. Offered is a 9-1/2" x 11-1/2" vintage scrapbook offering hundreds of baseball paper collectibles from the 1930's. Inside one finds: 1936 R312 Pastels (11) with Dickey, Ruffing, Cronin/Harris, Cuyler, Hornsby/Bejma and Lombardi; 1936 Goudey "Wide Pen" Baseball Premiums (97) - All but a few are Type 1s. Including Rolfe, Greenberg, Gehringer, Goslin, Fox, Cochrane, Appling (Type 4), Dickey, Gomez, DiMaggio/McCarthy, Cuyler, P. Waner, L. Waner (miscut), Frisch and Hubbell (Type 4); 1936 National Chicle "Fine Pen" Premiums (44 Different) including Grove, Hornsby, Gehringer, Greenberg/Dickey, Simmons, Berg, Cronin, Stengel and Wagner. There is one page with size items that are cut outs from a magazine. The presentation of the premiums is mostly EX to EX/MT but each item has been glued at all four corners. In some cases the glue is loose and they can be easily removed (leaving stains) while others are very well adhered to the scrapbook pages. Back stains are the only condition factor in most cases but a few loose cards have pencil/back damage from tape. It is not easy to find these thin paper premiums in such nice shape. If left unglued, these would be some of the finest R312s, R313s and R314s you'll find. The front cover is splitting away at the fold and the back cover is loose. Interior pages are well protected for the last 70 years. A fun and fascinating item for the true collector.
