    Description

In 1947 the championship between the New York Yankees and the Brooklyn Dodgers became the first aired on television. The telecast was limited to the New York area and was also the first to involve a nonwhite player when Jackie Robinson played for the Dodgers. Offered here is a New York Yankees photo pack from that championship year which includes 25 head shots with facsimile signatures of each player. Noteworthy players here are: Rizzuto, Crosetti, Henrich, Berra and DiMaggio. Photos come in original envelope (presents GD) with 2-color Yankees logo. Player portraits present nicely but are PR to GD due to a corner missing (DiMaggio), glue residue, a typed letter and or ink notation on the reverse.
