1953 Topps Baseball High End Complete Set (274). Note: This description has been updated from the catalog. A card has been added to the PSA-NM-MT 8 section.Baseball trivia questions were implemented on card backs for the first time, along with brief statistics and player biographies. Cards 221-280 are the scarce high numbers, with even scarcer short-printed cards interspersed in the series. A total of 61 cards (45 PSA and 16 SGC) have been professionally graded. Ungraded Cards - include #'s 10 Burgess SP (VG/EX), 41 Slaughter SP (VG/EX), 43 McDougald SP (EX), 54 Feller (EX), 61 Wynn SP (EX), 62 Irvin (EX), 77 Mize (VG/EX), 119 Sain SP (VG/EX), 138 Kell SP (VG/EX), 141 Reynolds (EX), 149 DiMaggio SP (EX), 151 Wilhelm SP (EX), 191 Kiner (EX), 228 Newhouser SP (EX). Grades 13% NM to NM/MT, 75% EX to EX/MT, 12% VG to VG/EX (five with color added). The SMR value of the graded cards approaches $10,000.
