1953 Bowman Black And White Baseball Complete Set (64). Similar in all respects to the 1953 Bowman color series; purportedly, the high costs involved in producing the color cards forced Bowman to issue their black and white counterparts. Unlike its counterpart, this set does not contain a lot of star power, but it has a very attractive appeal. A total of 4 cards have been graded by PSA. Highlights include - #'s 1 Bell (VG/EX), 5 Fondy (PSA EX-MT 6), 15 Mize (PSA EX-MT 6), 25 Sain (VG/EX), 26 Roe (VG/EX), 27 Lemon (EX/MT), 28 Wilhelm (EX), 36 Piersall (EX), 39 Stengel (VG), 41 Ramazotti (PSA NM 7), 46 Harris (PSA NM 7), 51 Burdette (VG/EX), 52 Branca (VG/EX).
