Description
1952 Topps Baseball Complete Set (407). Some background information from our consignor:Originating from a collector in the Wabash Valley region where Illinois, Indiana, and Kentucky converge. This set was amassed during the early 1950s and 1960s. As a young boy, the owner would ride his bicycle to his local corner grocery store and buy 5 cent packs of bubble gum and baseball cards. After spending the last 30+ years tucked away in a spare closet, the treasured pieces are now ready to find new homes, providing collectors with an opportunity to write the next chapter and beyond.

This issue set the standard for generations of collectors. They are simply a marvelous gallery of color and quality that has thrilled hobbyists for almost seventy years. Beyond the cards themselves is the fascinating history regarding the high-number cards that have become hobby campfire lore.
This set originated from a collector in the Wabash Valley region where Illinois, Indiana, and Kentucky converge. As a young boy in the 50's and 60's, the owner would ride his bicycle to the local corner grocery store and buy 5 cent packs of bubble gum and baseball cards. After many such trips throughout his childhood, combined with an uncommon level of attentiveness and care, The Wabash Collection was completed. It spent the last 30+ years tucked away in a spare closet, but now this fresh to The Hobby set is ready to find a new home, and let a new collector write the next chapter in the lives of these fabled cards.
This is a very attractive and aesthetically pleasing assembly with many colorful, glossy and nicely centered examples. If you are a collector who values visual appeal in historic issues, this is a set that deserves a spot in your collection.
