Description1951 Topps Red Back Panel High Grade Complete Set (26). For the Topps company this was their entrance into the mainstream baseball card market in 1951. Although they are not difficult to find in single card form, panels are very hard to come by, especially ones that have the appearance of these. The fronts, which typically have a browning tone, are free of this and look as if they were printed yesterday. Fourteen panels have been graded by SGC. The cards graded EX are due to the very light creases on the reverse caused by die-cutting. The front of these cards have the appearance of NM to NM/MT. In total, 14 panels have been graded by SGC. Highlights include: Graded - SGC 96 MINT 9: 5 cards, #'s 12/7 Hegan/Pollet, 19/50 Kokos/Irvin, 28/48 Valo/Stanky, 40/20 Garcia/DiMaggio and 43/4 McDermott/Stephens; SGC 92 NM/MT+ 8.5: 2 cards, #'s 30/46 Spahn/Goodman and 41/9 Lockman/Sievers; SGC 88 NM/MT 8: 3 cards, #'s 15/35 Kiner/Rosen, 37/49 Westrum/Zarilla and 42/36 Scarborough/Zernial; SGC 86 NM+ 7.5: 1 card, #8/47 Wynn/Glaviano; SGC 84 NM 7: 2 cards, #'s 3/21 Fain/Jansen and 33/51 Werle/Robinson; SGC 60 EX 5: 1 card, #29/39 Kennedy/Kluszewski.
