    Description

1951 Topps Red Back Panel Complete Set (26). Many of these 2-card panels have been graded by SGC. For the Topps company this was their entrance into the mainstream baseball card market in 1951. Although they are not difficult to find in single card form, panels are very hard to come by, especially ones that have the appearance of these. The front of the card which typically has a browning tone to them are free of this and look as if they were printed yesterday. Sixteen panels have been graded by SGC. Highlights include: Graded - SGC 96 MINT 9: 4 panels w/#'s 10-32, 12-7, 30-46 Spahn and 42-36 Zernial; SGC 92 NM/MT+ 8.5: 2 panels w/#'s 8-47 Wynn and 34-27; SGC 88 NM/MT 8: 3 panels w/#'s 16-5 Roe/Rizzuto, 25-2 and 44-23; SGC 86 NM+ 7.5: 1 panel, #'s 19-50 Irvin; SGC 84 NM 7: 2 panels w/#'s 11-24 and 29-39 Kluszewski; SGC 80 EX/NM 6: 1 panel, #'s 33-51; SGC 60 EX 5: 2 panels w/#'s 13-17 and 18-14; SGC 50 VG/EX 4: 1 panel, #'s 41-9. Ungraded Cards - Including: #'s 22-52 Feller (VG/EX), 26-1 Berra (EX) and 38-45 Snider (VG/EX). Overall, the set grades 23% NM/MT+ to MINT, 23% NM to NM/MT, 19% EX to EX/MT, 35% VG/EX.
