Description

1951 Bowman Baseball Complete Set (324). In 1950 Bowman was the sole national producer of baseball cards, even considered the king of trading cards from 1948 to 1952. In 1951 they had an inkling of what was to come with Topps entering the fray and they went all out on this delightful set. With a Hall of Fame checklist of 30 players such as Ted Williams, Pee Wee Reese and Yogi Berra, including several rookie cards, anchored by Mickey Mantle and Willie Mays, this set paved the way towards a new era of collecting. The players color likeness is born of a black and white photograph and the 324 card line-up was by far the most ambitious Bowman production to date. The final 72 cards, or, high numbers that includes Mickey Mantle and Willie Mays are much scarcer than the earlier numbers, which makes it difficult to complete a set. This offered set takes away all the hassle and worry for you.
Offered is a 324-card complete set of 1951 Bowman baseball cards.
